INSTALL ANDROID 2.3.1 GINGERBREAD ON IPHONE, IPOD TOUCH

Android 2.3.1 Gingerbread is finally released for iPhone 3GS, iPhone 2G and iPod Touch 1st generation. The release has been covered by Nick Pan, who has previously posted a a teaser video for the exact same.  Nick Pan has now released complete directions on How to Install Android 2.three.1 Gingerbread on iPhone and iPod Touch using OpeniBoot.

OpeniBoot permit the developers to inject their own Linux kernels onto jailbroken Apple devices by giving them the capacity to boot unsigned code on Apple platform. Once you get this capability, OpeniBoot permits you to run dual boot on iPhone and when you commence your Apple device, you will be prompted to select the operating system of your choice.  Our favorite Nick Pack is now busy trying to port the same method to install Android 2.3.1 onto iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS and iPad. We have yet to hear the expected date of arrival for it. So keep your fingers crossed!

Just before installing Android 2.3.1 Gingerbread on iPhone or iPod Touch, maintain this thing in mind that its the alpha release and hence the OS is not fully stable. Moreover, if you are not an advance level user, please avoid this technique since you might brick your iDevice.
